Please read the following before asking for help. We suggest you also print it for easy reference:

1. Some members will just post “Need help here. My computer is infected by a virus and I got an error. How to remove this malware. Help me please. What should I do?”. Posting a problem like that is just equivalent to “uninformative” and we hate that kind of post. How can we help if your post is lack of information? Remember, we're here and you're there.

So we are asking you to Help Us and we will Help You the best way we could. Below is the additional information and suggestions on what you should indicate when posting a problem on the PC Forums.

Tell us the scenario or complete information that we need to know including the symptoms and etcetera:
1. What Operating System are you using?
2. What Anti-virus are you using?
3. Have you installed any software before the problem occurred? What's the name and version of the software?
4. What was the last thing you did before the problem occurred?
3. What troubleshooting have you done so far?
4. Is there an error message? What's the error said?
5. When did the error message appear?
7. Did you plug any storage device to your computer?
8. What are the symptoms once your computer infected with this particular malware?

2. So that we can help you, we need to see the logs from the affected computer. Please download and run LogMe and ComboScan:

• Create a “Logs” folder to your Desktop.

LogMe Procedure:
• Download LogMe and save to your Desktop.
• Extract the LogMe.zip, Open the LogMe folder, and put the LogMe.exe to your Desktop.
• Double-click LogMe.exe

Please read this first before posting.

• It will prompt you “Press any key to CONTINUE.” then press Enter to begin.
• It will prompt again “Press any key to exit.” then press Enter to close.
• It will automatically create a log in your Desktop named “Log”.
• Put the LogMe “Log” to the “Logs” folder.

Hijackthis Procedure:
• Download Hijackthis and save to your Desktop.
• Double-click on the icon to install the software on your computer.
• Select "Do a system scan and save a log file." Once you select this, a comprehensive list will appear on your screen.

Please read this first before posting.

• Then it will automatically create a log. Save the log as “HijacthisLog” to the “Logs” folder.

3. Start a new topic for your HijackThis log here in the Malware Removal room. If you don’t know how to create a new topic, here’s the guide.

• Paste the LogMe and Hijackthis logs to your first post in your topic.
• Wait for replies from our members.

NOTE: Please do not PM the Administrators, Moderators, and your co-members asking for support. Post on the forums instead.
