Last two days ago, i got my hands on this VGA cooler. I was excited. In reality, i was supposed to order the accelero S1 gpu cooler since my ATI 4850 has a reputation of being an exceptionally hot card. but the accelero S1 was out of stock when i inquired. then came this deepcool v4000 that i saw which has some similarity in design but with more outstanding feature - its made of all copper construction, making it better in conducting heat than the copper aluminum siblings.

so here its:

Mounting it on a ASUS EAH4850.

The Thermal readings:

first on stock fan and heat sink. Idle temp is 41c with a lot of software tweaking to achieve this, since by default the card hovers around 56c on idle.

Deepcool V4000 VGA cooler review.

Loading up the card, the temperature rises to 56c using the latest software issued by asus (to solve its extreme heat). however during a hot noon time, i see temps as high as 62c ( was unable to take screen shots).

So with stock cooler the temperature range is between 41c to 56c (although i hit 62 sometimes if ambient temps are around 29c)

Using Deepcool V4000

On idle temperature reading of the V4000 is around 38c to 39c.

Now loading it up, and running kane's wrath at 1650x1050 resolution on ultra high settings for an hour, i'm reading just 41c!! just a 3degrees increase in temps.

so my temparature range is 38-41c using Deepcool V4000. This is astounding!! Cool Cool

Priced at P1200, its a steal, and could provide an effective cooling solution on a hot GPU!!!

The Deepcool v4000 has an overall Dimension  of    177X109X52.5mm

Just try to measure it in ratio with your video card. anyway the 8600GT is in the compatibility list.

more info about the coolers specs here bro. Smiley

I bought one today and im happy. Grin
I have:http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=212
Stock cooling was very loud and not so good if GPU is stressed.
Using FurMark for 10min i got it to 75c.
Now with V4000 temp stays around 35c and when stressed via FurMark it gets to 49c and wont go higher.
It is quite big and not so pretty (by my taste) but it works cool and quiet.
