Just bought this and i'm eager to put this on test. Will this cheap cpu cooler improve the thermal management on my rig? Now its stock fan vs. deepcool apha200+ priced at P600.

out from the package:

A closer look:

comes with a thermal paste and back bracket support for the motherboard. nice copper heat pipes!

Stock fan compare side by side:

the Deepcool alpha 200 is more thicker

on top, the fan size are the same.

Where are the temperature shots?

First test system platform: Intel Quad Q9300 2.5ghz, Abit  IP35, 2X2GB Team Xtreem Dark DDR2 1066 CL5, Asus HD 4850, 2.14Terabyte Hard Drives, Creative Audigy Value 7.1,  PC & Power Cooling Turbo-Cool 510SLI

room temp is around  29.5c to 30c (hot room, without aircon)

stock fan on idle:

Deepcool alpha 200 on idle:

almost the same temps.

Lets OC and load it up.

since i could not OC my rig past 2.6ghz on stock fan due to temperature issues i could not include screen shots on 2.9 and 3ghz speeds.

on idle @ 2.9ghz - 47c :

on load @ 3ghz - 60c with 2 incremental increase on vcore and 1 in the memory voltage.

Final thoughts:

This fan did performed well on 20% Overclocking and bringing down my temperature during loading up the system. At around 600php, its a good bargain if you plan to upgrade from stock and pursue a little overclocking.

Nice CPU fan bro dark. Wala pa akong masyadong maintindihan about hardware temps and etc since hindi pa ako nagfocus nito but ang naintindihan ko lang eh bumaba ng kunti ang temp.

Take care and God bless. Smiley

No problem bro Justin.  Smiley

behind those jumble of words it simply meant that the cooler i've tested performed well on Overclocking and loading the system but performed almost the same during idle times.

all for the best!

For the price plus copper heat pipes/copper base & aesthetics, it's a great buy. Double plus na rin para sa cooling aspects for mild OC's. Just give the TIM a day or two to cure, temps will still settle down a little bit further. Anyways, watch out for metal filings (on the screws as you tighten 'em up to the bracket). It could cause a short on the mobo (happened on me before, hehehe).  Smiley

Thanks for the comments bro.

I think this cooler will have more thermal headroom on a dual core set up. my test was on a quad which generally emits more heat than a dual core.

@ Doing business in Phil.

Thanks bro.

I haven't tried the asus fan yet however i'm sure that it will have better thermal results than the stock fans.
