Hello sumsar, good morning. Smiley

You mean the batch file? You make a shortcut on it in the desktop?

Take care and God bless. Smiley

Base dito sa site na ito, A program information file (PIF) is created when you create a shortcut to, or modify the properties of, an MS-DOS-based program. PIFs allow you to set default properties for MS-DOS programs, such as font size, screen colors, and memory allocation.

When you change any settings in an MS-DOS-based program, a PIF is automatically created. The settings you specify will be used each time you start the program by double-clicking its icon. If you start the program from a command prompt window, these settings won't be used.

Creating a program information file (PIF) for an MS-DOS-based program creates a shortcut to the program executable. All the settings saved in the PIF file are contained in the shortcut. Windows displays PIF files as shortcuts.

Base naman dito sa site na ito, Errors in your registry are one of the common causes for incorrect file associations on your windows system. It is highly recommended that you check your registry for file association errors (will also check for any other registry errors).

The PIF file type is primarily associated with 'Windows' by Microsoft Corporation. A Program Information File dates back to the early versions of Windows. Basically, it's an information file that when you click on it the information in the file is used by Windows to run some program; including code that can be in the PIF file. It is a potentially dangerous file type and one should never click on one received via E-mail without extensive knowledge of exactly what it will do first. Note: This file type can become infected and should be carefully scanned if someone sends you a file with this extension.

Hello sumsar, good afternoon. Smiley

Yes, you can use CCleaner to clean your registry and use Auslogic Registry Defrag to defrag your registry.

Take care and God bless. Smiley
