If ako ang papapiliin eh I'll go for PLDT and Bayantel dsl...Why? As what Maam Angelina and boydota said hirap if wireless. Your problem is the signal talaga. Sometimes mawawala ang signal, have you notice na mawawala ang signal ng globe at smart?...Then if ulan at bagyo or malakas ang hangin hihina rin ang signal. I think Maam Angelina and boydota can explain you better about this kasi naka wireless kasi sila.

Hi kids!
I dont know about globe is it wireless? All i know mr. admin his internet connection is globe and he have all kinds of problem from them. By the way, thanks for mention my name justin.  Smiley

What i explain to my internet connection before in other post that i do have a wireless satellite cause i live in Willard, OHio is a small town in OHio, USA. We dont have cable or DSL in my area so my choice either modem or satellite then of course i have to chose satellite cause thats the fastest signal i can get.
By the way, we dont have GLOBE, SMART or PLDT in our country. I consider USA is my country also beside PHILIPPINES cause im dual citizen so either of them they are my country.

Maybe you heard about AOL, AT&T or whatever but most common used here is AOL but im using willard connection which im closed with them and beside that the owner is good friend of mine... So it means i have a good discount.Smiley

Anyway, I make sure Mr. Admin will post about his connection about Globe so he will explain to you better and by the way, his in the phils. Im here in the states so is long distance between us.

@ java

sa globe pwede rin data lang ang kunin mo, kung may ibang phoneline na rin kayo, ang maganda lang sa globe ay mura ang internet with phoneline pa.

@ justin

yes bro in our place here the globe really s**ks, hindi ko lang alam sa ibang lugar sa luzon or sa mindanao man kung panget din ang serbisyo nila.

im based in cebu.

im using globelines broadband as what Angelina had mentioned earlier.
plan 1995, 2MB speed.

but i rarely get the feeling that my internet connection is fast.
more so often, when im chatting with mrs. admin i get disconnected more than 5 times per session.

i think even some pldt subscribers got annoyed with the same problem, maybe even worse.
some areas may have excellent service, but i believe majority of the internet users in our country belongs to the unsatisfied population.

i don't know if it's lack of technological advancement or just that they are accepting more than their systems can actually handle.

one time i saw and advertisement on tv, about globelines broadband.
two parties are talking via webcam/voicechat.
the reception and the refresh rate of the camera was very superb you'd think your watching a dvd video.  but in reality, when you chat with somebody over YM or skype, you will realize you're not even getting close to that quality.  i wonder what speeds they're using on that commercial... or most probably the one they were talking to was in the other room in front of a handycam and they're not even using the internet.

Smart Bro have a long antena on your roof. Globe have 2 small ones on your desk. Which one do you think will be faster?

Wala rin cable connections dito sa area ko kaya I have to choose between Globe and Smart wireless internet services. Nag research muna 'ko before I subscribe. I even tried it on my friends' pc where either is installed.

Naputol daw internet niya. Pina-install ko yung Smart Bro Quick Fix sa kanya. Hindi na siya nagreklamo ulit. Hehe.

I also have Smart Bro here, and in fact, kahapon lang nainstall....So far, wala pa naman problema....Medyo okey naman sa akin....Update ko nalang if merong problem.....

Yes, mahaba nga talaga ang antena nito.....

About globe, mas mahal ata yung monthly payment nito compared to Smart.....
