windows 7 home premium x64
>>expensive, bought in new zealand for 349$ NZ or about 12000php+ as windows 7 family pack upgrade for 3 computers...
2 licenses already successfully activated/used= 1 for my win vista home premium acer 4720, another 1 for my core i3...

our town experiences ~ 8hour daily brownout from 8am/9am to 4pm/5m or 4pm-11pm...

globe grps (OTA=on the air) modem speed is unstable in our town but rocks in 3g speed in selected cagayan de oro city spots like capitol university hospital at ~200kbps, limketkai mall @200-400kbps with burst speed up to 500kbps...

i have many things to say, i am so excited about my new computer set...
7 years in the waiting...
2 years of planning...

coolermaster 550w=~2350php gaisano interpace, cagayan de oro city, 1 item remaining last feb 15, 2010
hitachi 1tb sata hdd=part of package, ~4500php, gaisano interpace, cagayan de oro city, feb2010 price...
---
the hitachi hard drive i asked  for a reservation at gaisano interpace computer since february 3, 2010 when the first i3/i5/i7 lynnfield processors were offered in cagayan de oro city...and was granted only yesterday, the day i completed my purchases...(they did not bother to inform me via text/sms  Angry)
---
i forgot, i also bought sony 24x dvd-rw...i much preferred lg 22x dvd-rw but it was sold out together with samsung 22x dvd-rw...
---
i hate sony but i hate more not to have a dvd-rw drive...
---
1 thing i noted since i planned my "pentium dual core rig" 2 years ago was when bro robert ask for what use...
i now realize that the core i3 and nvidia 9800gt are way too fast for my needs since i am no gamer nor use any resource-extensive application...
---
but in a way, i have satisfied my craving/lust/ambition to have a computer faster than a pentium 4...
had i not bought the i3 set, i would have bought the following:
---
intel pentium dual core e5300/e5400
asus p5kpl-am motherboard
nvidia 9500gt 1gb ddr2
2x2gb ddr2-800 kingston value ram
500gb hitachi or western digital sata hdd
lg 22x dvd-rw
lg w2043t lcd monitor
casing with generic 550w psu
---
thanks for all those who commented on my plan to purchase a computer (2 years in the making!!!)
good things come to those who wait...

^Wow may coolermaster psu pala sa gaisano interpace? Last December kasi, I called at their limketkai branch to inquire for any branded psu and they said Intex Accopia lang ang available psu nila. I asked if meron bang order basis and they said, di sila nagbebenta ng mga mamahalin na psu. So I went purchasing online nalang and got the OCZ ModXstream instead. Much better siguro if I personally visit the shop to inquire for availability? Anyway, congrats on your new rig sir. And good thing it was bought locally. I usually go for the quick route and buy my parts online from my trusted dealer, than go canvass for parts. You can watch HD movies to give your vc the work-out hehe,...chuy kaayo! Smiley
